Opening a new garage? Have a new technician? STC can certify individuals as PA State Inspection Mechanics and covers Categories 1-4. A Commonwealth of PA State Inspection certification card (MV439) will be issued by the PA Department of Transportation upon completion of this course. Offered in the Evening throughout the year.
Course content includes hands-on instruction in the proper use of tools and equipment to perform a safety inspection, as well as discussions on inspection procedures and vehicle code regulations. Minimum age of enrollee is 18 years and the applicant must hold a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle he or she wishes to inspect. The PA State Inspection manual (publication 45) is included in the cost of tuition.
