Schuylkill Technology Center Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) are a vital component of the health care team. The LPN can find jobs in a variety of settings such as long-term care, hospitals, physicians' offices, clinics, schools and home health. Day and Evening Classes available.
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) are a vital component of the health care team. The LPN can find jobs in a variety of settings such as long-term care, hospitals, physicians' offices, clinics, schools and home health. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (National League for Nursing, Reflection & Dialogue, Recognizing the Vital Contributions of the Licensed/Vocational Nurse, September 2011) the projected job growth for LPNs is anticipated to be greater than the average rate.

The Practical Nursing Program is held at the STC North Campus in Frackville. Day Classes are 18 months long and are held three varying days a week Monday-Friday. Class/lecture days are held from 8 am -2:30 pm, with Clinical days taking place from 6:45 am until 2:15 pm.
The Evening/Weekend program is a 2 year program. Classes are held three nights a week on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday from 4 -9 pm. Once you Clinical rotation starts, the schedule changes to Monday from 4-9 pm and every other Saturday & Sunday 6:45 am to 2:15 pm.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to take the Pennsylvania State Licensure Exam for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).
